Today, being the third year anniversary and the remembrance of the Endsars victims who lost their lives during the Endsars protest at Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos in 2020, these people have become the heroes of our time.

Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal, the Father of Nigerian Students-FONS and Global President of One Love Foundation who was one of the fighters that put end to SARS brutality.

Eholor, the Father of Nigerian Students-FONS who was arrested by the government at the Lekki Toll Gate in 2020, gave a condolence and hope speech while speaking with the Journalists today, being the third years remembrance of those that lost their lives in the struggle, FoNS said he would like to firstly thank everyone who were there for him when he was arrested unlawful while protesting for the betterment of the country.

In his words, he said " Has any positive impact being made since then when we fought for our freedom? Of course there are impacts.

Do we need to make more impact? Yes, we need to put more impact.

Has the Police learnt their lesson? No! They have not learnt their lesson. I know that they will learn their lesson, so far we keep pushing, we should understand that we the citizens have right to police the police.

"Although, there are still good ones among the police, thank God a police chief is a friend and a brother, Solomon Arase, retired Inspector General of Police, to keep helping us on what I have been talking about that the police needs to be reformed. A lot of victims who died at the Endsars protest, some are yet to be compensated, while some are yet to be buried, while some are not accounted for in one way or the other.

"I am hereby sending my plead to the current president of the Nation as well as my brother, Solomon Arase and also the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to release anyone who have been detained because of the Endsars, they should be released unconditionally and also there should be toll free at the Lekki Toll Gate for the sake of those that have died, those that died for us to live and for the betterment of our country should be honored.

"However, let me tell you the impact we have put so far, the protest has changed some situations positively in the country, some good people has vowed that killing innocent people will never happen again, a case study of Lawyer Bolanle Raheem who was killed by the police for no reason, thank God justice has been made, the police have been convicted and sentenced to death to pay the prize he has committed, am I happy about it? No! Was just justice done? Yes!

"It is a big lesson to learn by other police who are not disciplined and cannot caution their triggers, the wife and children of the convicted policeman will now be left behind, then what is the gain there? Noone will care about them, even you when you are alive, no government cares about you.

"Therefore, this message should go to all law enforcement agents to remember before pulling the trigger that they have love ones at home and also the person you are going to kill also have love ones at home. Let us respect ourselves, let the citizens also respect the police.

"Importantly, the police are under-paid, the police are transferring their aggressions to the citizens, therefore, government should take their responsibility to rescue police so they can regain their dignity." Dr. Eholor ended the speech.
