Nigeria is known as the giant of Africa in various spheres of life, especially in agriculture. Our soil, people, and leaders are wonders, making contributions to the growth of the world economy through agriculture. Around the 1960s, Nigeria was the best cocoa-exporting country, where Cocoa House, a 26-storey building, was proposed by Obafemi Awolowo with allocations from the proceeds of cocoa exportation, being the first skyscraper in West Africa and the tallest building in Nigeria. It is widely believed that Nigeria is the giant of Africa in agriculture.
Recently, in Nigeria's agriculture industry, the high cost of food is the cry of all Nigerians, and fortunately, reducing this challenge facing the national growth and price control of farm commodities by the presidency, led by His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has worked tirelessly to improve and eradicate this challenge which was in a big mess before he became president.
However, spotting a refined agriculturist, a dedicated agricultural extension professional and political consultant in the South-South, hailed from Akwa-Ibom State, is Hon. (Amb) Ituen Amana Etop William. As an alumnus of the University of Uyo and a dedicated agriculturist, many educational references have been made to him by lecturers in the course of research on agricultural revival in Nigeria.
With over 15 years of experience in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and over 7 years in political consulting, Honourable Etop William possesses a unique blend of skills in policy development, strategic planning, and community engagement. He has a proven track record of developing effective extension programs, building strong relationships with farmers, and providing technical assistance. He is skilled in leadership, management, and motivational skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
With an existing and confirmable record of coordinating a strong and integrated political platform (IBOM GRASSROOTS MOBILIZERS FOR TINUBU - IGM4T) that successfully canvassed and stirred the nation's grassroots across the 36 states of the federation, including Abuja, for the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023.
Our research aims to help the Federal Government point out some resourceful personnel from different industries to better the current government. In the agriculture industry, and according to our investigation, Hon. Etop William is a very huge loyalist to the Tinubu-led administration and a dedicated Agriculturist, While talking to the press, Etop said, "If President Tinubu can't do it, no one else can do it." He also said, "Nigeria has a rough past, which President Tinubu is making straight." Looking deeply into education, President Tinubu introduced student loans as a modern form of free education. Our students were enjoying free education before; this student loan can be seen as a modern way of giving free education to less privileged students."
Moreover, Etop William, being a follower and loyalist of the president, promised that food will be more available under the president's leadership. He said the president is really working on the well-being of the masses to make food circulate from rural to urban areas.
In conclusion, during our chat with Hon. William, we pleaded with him to come into the agricultural system, just as he told us. He replied and said that the president is the GCFR and knows what he is doing, but he will change Nigeria's agriculture system to the point where huge global recognition will be reestablished in Nigeria.
Speaking with the President of All Campus Show President, Busuyi Ojo-Jobus, Jobus made a huge remark on Hon. William, describing him as Tinubu's boy, who is very loyal to his administration.
