Final Hope on ASUU: Advise the Lecturers to resume work, Enough is Enough- President Buhari.

The National President of ASUU has stated that President Buhari's Monday appeal to Nigerians to get ASUU to end the strike is wholly inappropriate and that the decision now rests only with the President.

This information was obtained by All Campus Show through a phone discussion with a staunch and unwavering advocate of an improved educational system. In his comment, he discusses the outcome of the negotiations and the delayed response of the federal government to pinning down their signature to seal the agreement.

In his words, he said, "Why is Buhari saying enough is enough when he is the one holding the system to ransom? In my opinion, it is completely uncalled for; we are done with renegotiations. The ball is in his court. It is he who should study the report of his renegotiation team with ASUU and make a response and not appeal to us.’’

"Before we met, we asked if they had the mandate of the government and they said yes. Now that we have seen it and have said yes, the President should direct his committee to come to us with the signed agreement so the issues can be resolved. "

To support the preceding statement, the President's "enough is enough" comment has been criticized by the founder of One Love, Chef Patrick Osagie, who claims the president has failed to accept responsibility.

‘’It is so unfortunate that we are disrespecting the future of our children. How will our children compete and catch up again with others that have gone ahead of them? Many of them have succumbed to depression, and the President should be ashamed of himself. "Because he has failed to take responsibility, on Monday he stated, "blame ASUU and the lecturers." It is not surprising because their children have good opportunities to study abroad.

In another statement by the National President and Producer of All Campus Show, Mr. Busuyi Ojo Jobus condemns the President’s lackadaisical attitude and obtuse response to students’ long stay at home.

This country is like a joke. The President doesn’t give maximum attention to the education sector. People should recall back to 2015 when Boko Haram disturbed this country, and the government called them for negotiation. Instead, Boko Haram demanded that Muhammadu Buhari, the then Presidential Candidate, be their spokesman. Then I asked, what is the relationship between Boko Haram and Buhari? This means Boko Haram, which literally means book haram, is what Buhari is indirectly trying to propagate. This explains why I said, "book is haram to the President."

‘’Perhaps his own party's presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, can explain this clearly because he was the spokesman for President Buhari during his campaign. If Bola Tinubu wants Nigerians to vote for him, then he needs to speak to Mr. President to resolve this prolonged strike.’’

"It's either Bola Tinubu resolves the strike or his presidential career ends."

Recall that the Briggs-led committee was established by the federal government to renegotiate the 2009 Agreement with ASSU and that the report has been sent to the President for more than a month.
