Tribute: Morayo Brown Afolabi turns 45, an excellent life, trailblazer, good example to all women globally



All Nigerian students, Media Personalities, Movie stars celebrate with Morayo Afolabi-Brown on her 45th Birthday today.


Morayo Afolabi-Brown is a renowned Nigerian Television host of Your View and Managing Director of TVC Entertainment Channel, and a passionate advocate for women's rights and youth empowerment. Born on July 6, 1980, in Lagos, Nigeria, she is the daughter of the late Nigeria Bar Association President, Alao Aka-Bashorun, who was a friend of the current president of the country, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Late Moshood Abiola, and other notable Nigerians.


Morayo started her career in media in 2005 as a Client Service Manager at CMC Connect, a PR firm, before moving to CUE Media and HiTV. She joined TVC News in 2012 as Deputy Director of Programs and later created the popular breakfast show "Your View," inspired by the American talk show "The View." Morayo was named one of the 25 most powerful women in Media and journalism in Nigeria in 2020 and received the "Woman of the Year Award."



Morayo Brown-Afolabi became the Patron of All Campus Show in 2023 with an impactful trace in the Nigerian students community. 


Morayo is married to a talented man, Femi Afolabi-Brown, a lawyer, and they have four children, including twins.



 In her career, she draws inspiration from influential women like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Oprah Winfrey.


She wrote and launched her inspiring book, "Becoming The Queen of Talk TV," in June 2023, celebrating her 10-year journey as a broadcaster. She mentors aspiring journalists through workshops and one-on-one coaching, helping them find confidence in their voices and navigate the industry.
