BREAKING NEWS: PROTEST TODAY, NIGERIAN STUDENTS PROTESTED AGAINST BURNA BOY TO ULTIMATE EQUAL'S RESIDENCE IN BENIN CITY

It was hot this morning at the residence of Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, otherwise known as the ULTIMATE EQUAL, an activist who was arrested during the END SARS Protest. The peaceful protest, which was centered on Burna Boy’s Cubana Night Club shooting and the disturbingly prolonged ASUU strike, was carried out by perturbed Nigerian students.

The students have come out to express their plights a few days after President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech in Daura concerning the strike. Our correspondents spoke with some of the enraged protesters, who shared their concerns about the ASUU strike and the alarming rate of heightened insecurity even in clubhouses. Some of the students, whose names were not disclosed, described Burna Boy as notorious, while another bemoaned the negligence of the Federal government in the education sector and the alarming rate of insecurity in the country.

Placards urging the government to end the long-overdue strike and that of Burna Boy’s Cubana shooting and his contempt for women's rights, amongst others, could be seen all over the place. One, in particular, caught my attention because it called on feminists to speak out about the case.

At the climax of the protest, the Patriot of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, calmed the protesters and took charge of the situation. While addressing the issues, he acknowledged the plight of students who may have suffered from depression during this time period and bemoaned the country's current state of education. He termed the situation quite unfortunate that the nation has lost respect for the future of its young ones and further urged the Federal government to stop apportioning blame to the lecturers and parties involved and act swiftly. The Ultimate Equal also condemned the shooting at the Cubana nightclub.

He condemned the act and said he has also written to the Grammy, NBC, PMAN, Inspector General of Police, and Human Rights to give us good justice, and that he is supporting this and giving kudos to the students that have started fighting for themselves as well as for society. He said he will not give up until Burna Boy faces the penalty. He can't be bigger than Nigeria and those who are supporting him should think that what if it's their loved ones the incident happened to, are they still going to be supporting him?

He further urged Nigerians to rise above the ongoing aggression and indulge Nigerians to get their PVCs to avoid further repetition of such disastrous acts in the future.
