2023 general election is an opportunity to choose a better future
Nigeria is bedevilled with a lot of economic, educational, social, and insecurity issues ranging from the ASUU strike, bandits, incessant killings, kidnapping, and Boko to mention a few. In an interview with Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, otherwise known as Ultimate Equal, he lays out his choice candidate and other major issues in the coming election that can change the narrative of Nigeria's history.
All Campus Show inquired about his thoughts and impressions of his chosen candidate. He said,
"My impression of Peter Obi is the same impression many have. I am not speaking for the labour party, I am speaking for the movement of Peter Obi because we have three candidates and I have carefully x-rayed them. "
"The Labour Party is a platform, and Peter Obi is a movement; whether you support the APC or the PDP, we are at a crossroads. We are tired of corruption under the Buhari administration, undue enslavement, and the ASUU strike. "
"When Donald Trump said Nigeria is a shithole, a lot of people were angry, but I wasn’t angry because Africa as a continent, especially Nigeria, is a shithole country. A country without light, infrastructure, hospitals, and other basic necessities.
"As enshrined in the Nigerian constitution, the government has pledged under oath and promised to take care of life and property. But as you can see, none of that is a reality in our society; our lives are not secure, our properties are destroyed every day because of the bandits, Boko haram and other nefarious activities. "
‘’That is why Peter Obi is the best candidate. It would be suicidal for Nigerians to move from Kaki to Kaka. One of them is still wearing a diaper at the moment and he is not a credible man; his education is questioned, his health questioned, his age questioned, even his wealth is questioned. Another one doesn’t live in Nigeria, and unfortunately, if he loses in the coming elections, he will still return to America. At this point, we are saying enough is enough."
We asked why he felt Peter Obi was the right candidate, and he said,
‘’By their fruits you shall know. Peter Obi is different, and he values education. He has a good profile as a serving governor in Anambra state. Many are saying he is stingy, but that is exactly what we need to shun corruption in our country. During his time in office, he invested immensely in building infrastructure in schools and he encouraged students by disbursing 1 million naira to every student in a high institution that graduated with a first class. "
In his final statement, Ultimate Equal said he would continue to advocate for Peter Obi.
"I will continue to advocate for Peter Obi and I am advising everyone to come out in their mass and vote responsibly without sentiment. Regardless of Igbo, Yoruba, or Fulani, let’s get the tribe out of the way and vote with our conscience.
