Generally, man has a psychological, emotional, and physical connection with animals. The bond between these cross-species is supposed to be for the well-being and profit of both parties. Humans are smart, intelligent, and willfully ignorant personalities. They are highly distinguished species with developed brains and reasoning capacity to communicate with their environment. But, the broader definition of intelligence regarding sexual intercourse with an animal, in this case, a dog, seems questionable and atrocious, which I consider to be horrid cruelty towards animals.
This higher intellect in the dominance hierarchy has merged into the animal kingdom’s pack system. And while many countries across the world legally protect these sexual abusers as long as they do not cause the animal any pain. In Nigeria, sleeping with an animal or having anal sex is illegal, wrong, and a misuse of human sexuality.
Referencing the holy bible, man is at the pinnacle of God’s creation. And God made man in his image in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them: and let them have dominion over everything he created. Nonetheless, it is disheartening that human beings formed in God’s image would degrade to sexual immorality with animals.
In an anonymous interview, a lady engaged in this act describes the sexual organ as tinier and longer than the opposite sex, making for easy penetration and desired pleasure. However, Ogbokhoyani Abraham Pius Esq, a legal practitioner, clearly described such as ''illegal and unlawful'' stating that section 214 of the Nigeria Code Act convicts its offenders with a 14-year prison sentence as a penalty for bestiality. He adds that according to the law; having carnal knowledge of any person against the order of nature, or having carnal knowledge of an animal, or permitting a male person to have carnal knowledge of them against the order of nature, is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment. These are prohibited behaviors by law because they are contrary to nature’s order.
From the medical consequences of bestiality, out of the many health implications of sex between two mismatched species, the dog, in this case, are four deadliest and most dangerous diseases transmitted in the process, namely; Leptospirosis, Echinococcosis, Rabies, and Penile cancer, in most cases. The elongated zoonotic disease should send shivers to many because of the gravity and fatality damage this transmitted disease pose to the health, leading to death.
