Eholor's takes on Democracy, plead for real democracy after 25 years

Abdulsalami Abubakar promised a transition to democracy, and accordingly a new constitution was adopted on May 5, 1999. Elections were held and retired Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, who had previously governed Nigeria as a military ruler, was elected the new president.

According to www.usaid.gov "At USAID, we believe democracy and development are integrally linked. We know democracies are more peaceful, experience higher economic growth and lower poverty rates, protect the environment, provide more clean water, have higher life expectancies, and see more equitable distribution of education. By advancing democratic development across our foreign assistance, we are ensuring that growth and prosperity lift up everyone – not just the most favored or wealthy – while protecting human rights and dignity. That is why, USAID is promoting democratic societies as a central tenet of our global mission and leveraging all our resources and influence to support democratic progress."

Although with the look of things currently and according to Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal (FoNS)

He said in his words that "The military did better than the democracy because they have weaponize poverty, they have enslaved people who believe in democracy. This is why we believe strongly in Olumide Akpata's concept which is ready to deal with real issues as we have no good school, good roads, water, electricity, high rate of school drop which will pollute the society.

"Alex Otti of Abia state is a very good example of democracy, working tirelessly for his people and this opportunity should be given to Olumide Akpata, I believe with Olumide and Kadiri, Edo will be OK as we say as their academy background is not questionable, they are ready to serve the masses and give them free they deserve.

"Many past governors in Edo State had issues with certificate, Obaseki as one of them and Oshiomole who got ministry of education burnt. You can't give what you don't have and that's why APC L, PDP can't give good education because they don't have it. I really want to appreciate people in all the senatorial districts for their support to Olumide who will set us free from bad governance." Eholor concluded
