In a heartwarming start to the month of February, Miss Theresa Agba, a 400-level student in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology University of Calabar (Unical), has been awarded a scholarship for the 2023/2024 academic session.
This prestigious scholarship was graciously provided by the esteemed Emeritus Vice-President of the Students Union Government (SUG), Comrade Abasiofiok Akpabio Okhunlun, widely known on campus as AA.
The scholarship was granted in recognition of Miss Theresa's exceptional performance during the talent display segment of the Hall 8 day ceremony in 2023, where she emerged victorious.
Following her well-deserved win, the Emeritus SUG Vice-President extended her support by offering her a scholarship, a gesture recently redeemed.
Prof. Francisca Bassey, renowned for her philanthropic endeavors, presented the scholarship award to Miss Theresa Agba and commended the altruistic act of the former Vice-President.
