The Father of Nigerian Students-FoNS, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal has hailed the President Bola Tinubu on how he fights corruption and how he has handled the case of Betta Edu.
The trending corruption news against Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian and poverty alleviation has been on for some days, the report about Edu shown that she transferred a public fund into her personal account, this made Nigerians reacted to it.
Dr. Eholor condemned the act as he suggested to the President Tinubu that death penalty should be added those who steal the public funds, in his statement, Dr. Eholor said "we will pray for our president to fight corruption, pray and support him so he can dare anybody.
"On behalf of One Love Foundation, I salute your courage as you told those who wanted to interfere in the investigation to step aside for the EFCC to do their work and until court otherwise proof her guilty.
Although, we should also still give a benefit of doubt if there is no evidence of transferring money to her personal account which Dr. Eholor okays the hearing, Eholor said noone can be executed without hearing her out.
"I also want Tinubu to fire the Permanent Secretary and others who support this action because without these civil servants, there will not be corruption, why would someone take Public fund to book flight to Kogi State where does not have airport.
"Edu is competing with Diezani who is suffering from cancer in London, you people don't understand that the people you are depriving not to eat, their curse is on you and your family, you can't escape it, it is a law of cama.
"I plead with you President Asiwaju Tinubu and as I pray for you even though I didn't vote for you as my president, as a matter of urgency, let us pass a bill at the National House of Assembly to have death sentence as a penalty for corruption. People take advantage to steal our common patrimony, there is unrest in Abuja, also Plateau killing, kidnapping and unknown gun everywhere. When we come out with the tougher law, Nigeria will be peaceful, what sustain china today is because of the death sentence align as the penalty of embezzling public fund, so far you commit and confirm by the investigations and court judgement.
"All these stolen funds should be recovered and invest in Education, Agriculture, Infrastructure, security and other ministries, especially education, if you go to the North, you will see all these small poor children that are not going to school, without helping them, we may not get it right because by helping them to get education, we are illuminating our society for better development." Dr. Eholor said
