Sexual assault in the military is a serious crime with profound consequences for both the victims and the alleged perpetrators. Sexual misconduct not only undermines the trust and camaraderie essential for military units to function effectively, but it also tarnishes the reputation of the armed forces.
The trending video of a female junior officer in the Nigerian Army has gone viral more as the Father of Nigerian Students-FONS, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal reacted to it. The officer whose name is Witheld said if anything happens to her, they should hold a Col. Abdulkareem, Col. Ogor and Brig. Gen. Solebo.
In the reaction video by the Ultimate Equal, he condemned the senior officers who have affairs with their junior officers, Dr. Eholor said he is not afraid of the military because he knows there are lots of good men and women in the force but things should be done aright.
Furthermore, Dr. Eholor has called on the President Bola Tinubu to investigate more on it as he did by checkmating the corrupt people recently. "The Police force also has to be checked with this attitude of compelling junior ones."
Pointing more on sexual abuse as a high intimidations that is also seen in the higher institutions, cases of Professors requesting for sex for grade, Eholor pleaded for this attitude to be curbed. Sex for grade is a bad manner from the lecturers.
"The video of this female officer is going more viral and the Nigerian Army is now becoming a laughing matter, it should not be like that, there are good men in the military.
Please stop harassing people sexually. Anyone who is caught should be charged for rape" it happen like that in the United and other sane countries, let us sanitize out country so it can be a liveable place for us all to live." Dr. Eholor concluded
