Sad atmosphere as Trinity VC is buried.

 


The pioneer VC of Trinity who died on August 2, 2023 has been buried. The burial service which was done at the Four Square Gospel Church, National Headquarters, Alagbomeji, Yaba on Friday with the presence of family, friends and staff of Trinity University with mind blowing tributes they made during his burial.



Ayo, the pioneer VC of Trinity University, was born on October 31, 1958 has achieved a lot by touching lives, giving excellent training to biological children and proteges as well as living a meaningful lifestyles behind.


Punch reported that "Speaking about Ayo during the funeral service held on Friday at the Four Square Gospel Church, National Headquatres, Alagbomeji, Yaba,  Head of Department, Computer and Information Science, Dr. Adesola Falade, said, “Dear Prof. Charles Korede Ayo, an academic giant of excellence had gone. A lover of peace and progress. He was a great mentor to me personally. He lived a life full of impacts.


"Acting Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Applied Sciences, Dr Modupeade Adetunji, added, “You were a great leader, and your commitment to the growth of the university was unquantifiable. Your leadership style was unique and exemplary. You led and we followed. He was my motivator and mentor. I thank you for all you taught me directly and indirectly. And your words of encouragement especially when you were on the sick bed.”


"The deceased immediate younger brother, Mr Olayinka Ayo, said the VC was a man who loved his family and ensured they were always in one accord.



"Pro-Chancellor, Trinity University, Mr Samuel Olatunji, said, “After his first tenure in office, we went through his record, he was a man that came out clean. He did not know we were going through his records. He is a man who had favour upon favour. Trinity University started with just 13 students but today we have up to a thousand students in four years. Today we have 14 programs accredited. He was a man with anointed hands, a man of integrity, a man of confidence and great potential.”
