Some Bolt drivers in Benin City, Edo State has yesterday pleaded with the Bolt Management to review their high commission.
According to a bolt driver who prefer anonymous said that the commission paid to the company is too high especially in this period of fuel subsidy and It's making life unbearable for them.
"Imagine someone will buy fuel of five thousand naira, at the end of the day he will use it to work five or seven thousand naira thereabouts and still do other maintenance . So, we want the bolt officials to look into it so it will not be one-sided profit" he said
He also said that it is paramount that the bolt officials investigate on the issue of customers reporting drivers before they result to blocking such driver.
"They should try and understand driver's feeling in respect to when a client booked a ride and decided to go and report"
Commenting on this, a concerned Nigerian who identified himself as Onaga Ishaya said the drivers should be treated right beacuse the security of passengers is solely in their hands.
According to Ishaya " when drivers are not happy, the life of the passengers are at risk"
He said that since the operation of bolt ride started, movement from a one place to another has been extremely easy.
In addition, Ishaya highlighted that aside them rendering fast service, they don't allow customers stray too far from home before picking them up.
Onaga Ishaya therefore appeal to Bolt management to visit this issue and ensure driver's demands are met.
