Father of Nigerian students, Chief Patrick Eholor, Ultimate Equal was honoured with Doctorate in Humanity


Hearty felicitations to the distinguished awardees of the just concluded 2022, 9th edition of the Africa Legendary and Icons Award (ALIA), in Edo state.


The friends, families, and associates of the awardees gathered to witness the occasion at the Doris Dey Dynasty.

 Ambassador Lucky Okri, the event‘s director, welcomed guests to the Epochal event hosted by Ofori Media and the Rescue Mission Theological University which saw the induction of several dignitaries becoming Doctors of Philosophy.


The first set of Awards was dedicated to two dignitaries namely; Chief Dr. Osamwenyobo Amadasun, The Osayangbonoba of the Benin Kingdom, who bagged a doctorate in Philosophy, and Chief Lady Dr. Doris Obor CEO of Doris Dey conglomerate was awarded Doctorate in business management.


 The awards were presented by Senate Members of Rescue Mission Theological University led by Professor Greg Stephen.

The second set of awards was presented to dignitaries for their contributions to society.

 The category saw the likes of Human Activist Chairman of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, otherwise known as Ultimate equal, Chief Amb Lancelot Odumanere Imaseun, Jasper Ejike Okorafor, CEO of Jep studios, Queen Adesuwa, Chief Executive Officer of Okundaye Charity Outreaches, Lady Eseosa Okundaye, Chief Blessing Emuerri Ovbiye, George Obasogie, and others. 

Chairman of the One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, was awarded a well-deserving Doctorate of Humanity. 

Receiving the Award Chief Dr. Patrick, dedicated the award to Nigerians who died at the Lekki toll gate and students of Federal institutions.



He swore to keep serving humanity. In his speech, ''it is not by an award but by the fact behind the story of what brought the award. Being rich does not mean having money in the account. But by having people you have inspired the “so-called” poor people that you have empowered, the orphans you have been parents to, that is the real definition of wealth."

"I rarely receive awards but this award is exceptional. A lot of dignitaries have invited me for dinners but I declined that is why I dedicated the award presented to me to Nigerians who lost their lives in the Lekki toll gate massacre and the students suffering the effects of the current ASUU strike."



"I want to use this medium to call on the government to stop playing politics with young people's future."

The elated awardees expressed gratitude to God and the organizers of the event for the platform.

One of the Awardees Dr. Adesuwa Obatta, otherwise known as Queen, who got her doctorate in Music, expressed delight and described the award as long overdue. 


She further advised young people not to give up on their dreams stating that one day it will pay off.
