The management of the University of Jos has called a high security conscious meeting prior to the recent ugly incident that led to the death of Ibrahim Mbaya, a final year student of the institution.
Religious leaders, community leaders, Plateau commissioner of Police representated by the Police Public Relations Officer, Student Union leaders, and students, issues relating to the death of IBEE, exam malpractice, and the recent misconduct of the FYB week where students dressed indecently were also discussed.
Issues about the previous crises were raised and how those community leaders can help to protect the students living in their communities.
Therefore, concerning the students arrested who are in detention, investigation is ongoing for those who allegedly played a role. One of suspects were arrested some days ago.
