The One Love Foundation Solicitors has joined the Founder and Global President to write to Senator Neda Imasuen, senator representating Edo South Senatorial district to demanding clarification and explanation from senator Neda plays in the recent national budget padding scandal in which has rocked the Senate.
After Senator Abdul Ningi, the lawmaker representing Bauchi Central, was suspended for three months over an interview in which he alleged that the National Assembly padded the 2024 N28.7 trillion budget as against N25tn.
Ningi who was recently suspended from the Senate over his allegations that the lawmakers padded the 2024 budget by irregularly inserting projects worth N3.7 trillion.”
According to Punch News online, Ningi was quoted as saying, “For the first time in Nigerian history, today we are operating two different budgets. One budget was approved by the National Assembly and signed by President Bola Tinubu, and the one was implemented by the presidency.
“The one approved by us is N25tn while the one operating by the Federal Government is N28tn.”
According to the One Love Foundation letter to Senator Neda "It is the constitutional role for the president to send national budget to the national assembly to pass it or not to pass it."
The One Love Foundation in the letter requesting from senator Neda to speak on how much he got from the amendment to the budget if any.
In a trending video, Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal said "This is the second letter written to Neda Imasuen, I am doing this just to put him on check not to attack him, he is my brother, where were you guys when Senator Akpabio to himself and to favour his people, I think we are all Nigerians, N90B is too much and we see our service men dying, our uniform men dying, they are without barracks and somebody is padding national budget which is wrong"
Furthermore, Dr. Eholor called on president Tinubu as once senator to look into it, Dr. Eholor who hit the Senate president Akpabio who has case with EFCC before becoming the Senate president.
Neda Imasuen, let me know if you are part of this budget padding, what are you about to attract to my community, I voted for you, I sacrificed for you and for those of you who this this is witch-hunt, please rethink.
