Public Notice to Labour Party -Dr Eholor

In Nigeria, party executives can participate in party primaries as delegates. The 2022 Electoral Act, party constitutions, and guidelines do not prohibit this. The only restriction is on political appointees, who cannot be delegates (Electoral Act 2022, Section 84 (12)). Party executives can obtain nomination forms and run for office alongside other members. The Labour Party constitution and guidelines outline procedures for conducting congresses and primaries, but do not bar executives from participation. Therefore, current Nigerian law and Labour Party regulations allow party executives to participate in the delegate selection process and contest elections on the party's platform.

In the light of the above, I was reliably informed after having a meeting with Senator Neda Imasuen, that the senators in the national house of assembly including Neda suggest that the delegate that will nominate the aspirant to become a candidate will be a minimum of 300 as against 90 that is speculated, that will disenfranchise those people who are suppose to vote for the aspirant of their choice.

I, Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal appeal to Peter Obi to advice the party chairman to do the needful so they won't be any altercation or litigation before and after the party primaries.

We have to do things differently from the APC and PDP that put us in this mess that we are now. The reason why people are following us is because of change, if we don't do things differently from other political parties it means all our efforts to build the Labour Party is just like a child's play.

If there is anybody that is in doubt of the above, the person should kindly put a call to Senator Neda.
