It is a good initiative as the government of Lagos State invested in sport by conveying the tertiary institutions in Lagos to Onikan stadium.

In attendance were the commissioner for youth And sports, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlade; The special adviser to Lagos State governor on Youth matters, Mr. Bangbade Ademola; APC youth leader Lagos State, Mr. Dayo Israel; Surakat Muftaudeen, LASUSTECH SUG President as well as others.

The Lagos State tertiary institutions in attendance are: National institute of oceanography and marine research, Yaba college of Technology, Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Lagos State college of health Technology.

In an interview with a Lagos student today by Busuyi Ojo-Jobus via phone call, the students name witheld said "If there were doings like this in all aspect rather than sports alone, I feel it's a way of engaging the youths, as many are hungry, what stops government to send palliatives to Students instead of putting the funds of logistics to watch ball."
