Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor popularly known as Ultimate Equal, the Father of Nigerian Students-FoNS, the president of One Love Foundation and the Senior Advocate of the Masses.
Dr. Eholor has called on the Minister of Health, Ali Muhammad today, to look into the way patients with emergency die in the hospital when requesting for police report.
According to Advance English Dictionary, it defines a Hospital as "a health facility where patients recieve treatment and also a medical institution where sick or injured people are given medical or surgical care, not where patients die due to the negligence of the Health or Hospital doctrines."
In an interview with Dr. Eholor where he was talking to the cross section of the Journalists, in his statement, he said "I am calling on the current Minister of Health, Ali Muhammad Pate to look into this scenario of Health workers especially Doctors demanding for police report first instead of them saving the life that is in danger.
"This has been going on over the years and everyone is feeling unconcerned until it happens to your loved ones then we all will see the bitter side of it."
There have been cases where patients with gunshot and other health emergency are killed by the Doctors by not attending to them until they die.
One of the Victims, Sir Mike Are spoke to our correspondence on the issue, he narrated how he lost his brother shot by the armed robbers, he said he may not forgive the health sector for this art that they should amend their ways of action by saving lives whether with police report or not.
Whereas, Dr. Eholor said "...even an armed robbers deserves to be rescued because it is until when a suspect was judged in the law court, before he would be called a criminal and may be sentenced to death and some to Prison, the inmates who are in the prison also deserve good healthcare not talking of one who you do not know his status, government as well as other Health ministry should look into this and work on saving the lives of citizens, black lives matter should not be in abroad alone even at home, the lives of our people matters" Dr. Eholor concluded.
