The Observer General of Democracy in Nigeria,Chief (Dr.) Patrick Osagie Eholor -Ultimate Equal has called on the Edo State Governor-Gov. Godwin Obaseki to Swear in 8 Judges Designate of the Edo State High Court, whose appointments have been cleared by the National Judicial Council since the 15th of June,2023.The Activist stated that Judges who are made to do justice , should not themselves face injustice in their appointment processes. The Judges have not been sworn Inn since on the 15th of June,2023, when their appointments were announced.For about 135 days now , they have not collected any salaries or allowances and they are mostly at home sleeping, while the High Courts in Edo State are overburdened by cases ,as the sitting judges are very few.

Chief (Dr) Patrick Eholor -Ultimate Equal stated the Edo State Governor should know he is not an emperor , who runs the state like a personal fiefdom.He called on Leaders of Thoughts in Edo State to rise up against the dictatorship of the Governor on this issue .He also stated that he is mulling going to Court to get the National Assembly to remove Governors from the appointment processes of Judges in Nigeria as same is being abused by the Governors .
