Father of Nigerian Students-FoNS gives 48 hours Ultimatum to Governor Obaseki to resolve crisis in AAU.

According to Dailytrust.com (2016) "Nigerian Universities have since independence, been playing key roles in the training of manpower for the nation's economy and the development of their communities, through the knowledge they generate and transfer. These, they do through teaching, research and obligation."

The case of teaching good morals in schools have been directed to a wrong path.

It is not a news again that the school management trusted by the parents, leaving their students on campus and trusting the management to take good care of their children which is their responsibility by the government is now seen as the killer of the students, there have been merciless movement, rivalry between the students and the school management, that make management to always wanted to forcefully have their ways, though we should be able to compare the two parties as tongues and teeth, they may fight but they cannot be seen taking weapons against each other.

The major reason University is called the name is because of the students in it not the VC or the lecturers, therefore studenthood must be respected.

Reporting the  recent incident in Ambrose Ali University in Edo State where the security operatives whose major aim are to secure students lives, even before securing properties and staff,  the same security operatives of the institutions was seen in viral video attacking their students with weapons, this is uncalled for, that the management which it major role is to secure the lives and properties of the students are now giving direction to the security to attack the Students with guns, hammers and other weapons.

Speaking with a students, name withheld, said "they protested and cried that the security which is meant to secure them came to threaten them with guns, leaving trauma and shock on them"

All Campus Show President and Publisher, Comrade Busuyi Ojo-Jobus said: "This is not a good character displayed in the presence of the students, the University is not the place of learning knowledge alone but with character, therefore, what are you teaching the students with these provocative activities, I believe there should be a good communication channels to relating with the students instead of forcing weapons on them, let our students breath"

Reacting to this incident, the Father of Nigerian Students-FONS and the Global President of One Love Foundation, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal has condemned the act by the Ambrose Ali University's management and has called on the state government to look into the matter with immediate effect.

Eholor in his statement with All Campus Show correspondence this morning said:

"IMAGINE a state or a country who has not realized that education is paramount, that education is the light of the nation, imagine what happened to our students in Ambrose Ali University, I want you all to be the judge, this is not about the politics, it is not about Obaseki or Tinubu but our country, the sincerity of a purpose, how we want to be governed, how we want to raise our children."

"Imagine some thugs went into Ambrose Ali University's hostels with the guns, hammers and all kinds of dangerous materials, this is our future, the youths owns the future and the youths are not respected, in other countries in the civilized world, children have bursary allowances, free hostels to stay and see what happened in Ambrose Ali University, under the watch of Governor Godwin Obaseki, you are giving the ultimatum of two weeks for students to vacate hostels, let us wake up as a nation, let the students and the youths rise up, unite together."

"What happened to the NANS and other Students Union Government 'I am the Father of Nigerian Students-FoNS and responsible for all the students in this country and I must defend all students, what happened in Ambrose Ali University is condemnable, I am giving 48 hours to my brother and friend, Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State to look into what happened in Ekpoma, enough is enough, how are we mentoring this Children? What are we expecting from them in future, why are they doing this to them? All the government officials and the security operatives especially Police should look at the evidence, to question the man with the hammer and the pump action gun threatening the Students, this is not about PDP, APC, L.P but about the future of this country because education is the light of any nation." he concluded.
