Father of Nigeria Students, FONS and President of One Love Foundation, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal has condemned Nigeria Government for paying ex-governors an exorbitant monthly salary of N676,376.95
He said " you can imagine this huge sum of money going into every ex-governor account monthly couple with some allocation which wasn’t revealed. And then again I weep for Nigeria because there are lot of things pinning down this country from not progressing.
"How can someone all in the name of former governor be receiving N676,376.95 monthly then you can as well imagine if the previous governors or other former governors of other states are being paid this amount monthly.
"Yet the civil servant being owed backlog of salaries, our schools are dilapidated, our refineries are not working. When I made a call for a review of salary for those at the National House of Assemblies I was criticize and was looked at as the bad head"
Eholor noted that if these salaries are slashed down and used for the development of this country, it will progress positively in global rankings.
It is time to set this country free from self slavery where the citizens should be treated with respect, our people cannot be treated anyhow by the whites in their land and still be facing same treatment in their father's land, this mindset should change willingly by the government and everyone in charge of making laws should take note.
However, he urged government to focus on moving the country from CONSUMPTION to PRODUCTION.
