President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed the 2023 Student Loan Act into Law. This took place on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
According to the Permanent Secretary of The Federal Ministry of Education, Andrew Adejo and a Senior Aide to the President, Dele Alake, the bill is to allow indigenous students further their education.
Alake also revealed that, the Loan initiative is what Tinubu promised during his campaign. Where he promised Nigeria students will have easy access to loan for their education.
However, the Permanent Secretary said that the Federal Board of Scholarship was initially starved of funds but now that an enabling act is in place to cater for students' Loan, the entire process will be more easier.
