LFGG Congratulates Akume, On Appointment as SGF



–Describes Appointment As well Deserved



Liberation Forum for Good Governance, LFGG, a support group of Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Shettima under APC  Amagamated Registered Support Groups headed by Augustine Onah has congratulated Sen. George Akume over his appointment as Secretary to the federal government.


Onah who described the SGF appointment as well deserved, said the former minister of Special duty was no doubt round peg in round hole.



The group expressed optimism that the former Benue governor’s antecedents as seasoned administrator and leader, would come to play in the discharge of his duty.


”Your hard work and dedication to duties had paid off. Onah said.


”I am confident in your abilities to discharge any mandate and overcome any challenges because your patriotism to the Nigerian project is unparalleled,” he added.


Until his appointment as SGF, Akume was the immediate past Minister of Special Duties and inter governmental affairs in former President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.


Born on December 27, 1953, Akume is alumnus of the premier university, the University of Ibadan where he obtained both the Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Master of Science Degree in Industrial Relations.


A consumate administrator, the new SGF rose through the ranks of civil service to pinnacle as  Permanent Secretary. 


Akume commenced work formally as a Land Officer with the Benue State Civil Service, and rose steadily through the ranks in the public service until 1998, when he voluntarily retired as the Permanent Secretary (Establishments and Management Services).
