 This has been from generations to generations and understanding of Beauty in African ways. Waist beads are African Traditional accessories women wear around the waist both old and young and It is usually made of shells or bead seeds; stones and small bead connected together by a thick thread. 

The growing interest of individuals in the existence of waist beads is evident in their rebranding effort in ensuring that waist beads components are running along trending accessories. Now, they are produced in more colourful and attractive sizes. 

Coupled with the above, the importance of waist bead cannot be over emphasized. Research has revealed that, waist beads performs numerous funtions. 

One of them is the ornamental function.


 Waist beads can be used for beautification, most ladies wear beads to look attractive and also, it can be use as an aesthetics tool by African dancers.
