Fresh Graduates: KWASU protests, UNIBEN standard is better by far.



Recently, Some students in the department of Medical Laboratory Science of the Kwara State University have protested their non mobilisation for the National Youth Services Corps Scheme several years after graduation.

The victims displayed different placards non regularisation of the course by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.




However, the University of Benin where clearance in different levels has commenced and is going very well. 


All Campus Show correspondence interviewed some graduates who are currently undergoing the final year clearance in order to be mobilized for the NYSC.



These fresh graduates commended the University’s management for the hitch-free process. The students gave kudos to Professor Lilian Salami led administration as the Vice Chancellor, as well as the current Dean of Students of the University, Professor Clement Ighodaro.


Furthermore, one of the students in the Faculty of  Arts, Bamidele who has finished his clearance said:

 “ It without stress, although it was not a bed of roses but it is better than other schools as we have heard from our friends."



“Imagine, I had already worn an armor for the stress ahead but simply put it off when I felt that there is none serious as I thought. This means it is very easy and  what amazed me the most was that we were told the Dean of Students said no one should pay a dime to get cleared in the Student Affairs division, we really want to appreciate Prof. Clement Ighodaro for the thoughtfulness and making life easy for us the fresh graduates .“ He Said.


Speaking to Ijeoma, an Accounting graduate, revealed how prepared she was for this task, “I thought it is stressful a bit. She also applauded the Dean of Student Affairs because according to her, she did not pay any money for clearance.  You  can see for yourself how organized the clearance process is here in student affairs. We want to thank our Dean of Students Prof. Clement Ighodaro.


In an Interview with the Dean of Students, Prof. Clement Ighodaro, he noted that he is doing what he loves doing. That is, making students happy and comfortable.  So I wish all the graduates success ahead of their endeavoui as well as the undergraduates to focus on their studies, shun provocative activities and behave well"  Prof. Ighodaro stated.
