Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor President and founder One Love Foundation (Nigeria Democracy Observer General) also the Father of Nigerian students laments on the State of the Nation.
Speaking with ACS Correspondence in Benin today, he discloses his love for the country Nigeria, though Dr. Eholor who has dual citizenship of Nigeria-Canada and the one that has been fighting for justice, peace and unity of his people pleads to the Nigerians to maintain love among theirselves.
"Everyone wants to belong, or be a part of something bigger than themselves, but it's important to follow your heart and be true to yourself in the process. Promise yourself, never to keep quiet on the truth. Say it and let the lie die. We have a double standard in this country.
They are two set of rules.
• One is for the very wealthy corrupt politicians who can control government institutions and get away with murder.
• The other one is for the citizens they have conquered as people.
Recently somebody made an inflammatory statements threatening he was going to BRING IPOB to Lagos which I do not support any kind of violence, he was arrested, he was charged to court, he was remanded into prison for another 30 days to continue his trial nothing is wrong with it or nobody is above the law.
My question is that, is it not the same country that MC Oluomo on video publicly threatened the life of the Igbo and other non indigenous citizens of lagos the Igbo were deprived from voting with their shops burnt while some were killed until this day he have not been arrested neither have the authorities questioned him
And the police image maker the PRO came out in his Twitter handle that if anyone has a prove against MC Oloumo that the person should go ahead and sue him.
Is it because MC Oloumo belongs to certain part of this country or he belongs to the party of the wealthy notorious politician?
Some of the Civil Societies (CSO) can no longer function again because of the DSS or state Government threatening a peaceful protest and a result of this they are now silent while most of them have Jakpa
I believe in non violent
I believe in peaceful agitation
Let us build this country with truth and honesty
Let us build this country without first class or second class citizens without religion divide irrespective of their tribe, region or gender
Let us remain in unity, respect each other fundamental human rights
It is better for a government to be afraid of it citizens and do what is right for them rather than the citizens afraid of the government brutality.
I’m still hopeful even though the judiciary has not been fair to common man that one day it will have the courage to change the mindset of the people that the judiciary truly represents the interest of the common man and it is the only Beamon of hope in this country. "
