Members of the All Campus Show Edo State Chapter, has recently visited Labor Party Chieftain, and Father of Nigerian Students, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor, otherwise known as the Ultimate Equal at his home of residence in Edo State. To seek his advice on the fast approaching 2023 General Elections.
The team which had the All Campus Show President, Ojo Busuyi Jobus as leader, included The Mayoress of Margaret Ekpo Hostel, University of Benin, The Assistant Public Relation Officer of the National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU) and the Outgoing University of Benin Faculty of Arts Students Association (FASA) Deputy Governor.
In the Course of the discussion, Chief Eholor said Voting is a Civic responsibility and he is not in the position to advise Students on who to vote for, but he hopes that they are wise enough to vote for the Right Candidate.
Citing the incessant ASUU strike that has occurred severally in the administration of the ruling party. As well as the high rate of insecurity and Hunger , and other factors. Dr. Patrick said the Ball is in their Court to make a choice .
He also said Students need to have a change in mentality, as corrupt Students have continuously aided politicians in rendering disservice to the Society.
He charged Students to look inward and shun Corrupt practices and take their place as leaders of tomorrow, while emphasizing that Students should vote their Choice.
Dr. Patrick Lamented a situation where Students were silent even in the fight against Burna Boy and injustice at the Cubana night club shooting adding that some of them were even defending him.
The humanitarian Charged the Students and the General Public to engage in humanitarian activities by being their brother's keeper and promote love in the Society. Adding that every child belongs to the Community and not just the biological parents.
Anticipating the support of Family and friends , as well as other well meaning individuals who are of the same intent. The President of One Love Foundation, further made a commitment to rescue genuine less privileged Students who were unable to return back to school as a result of the devastating prolonged Strike.
