The Public Relations Officer of the NANS JCC Nasarawa state chapter, Comr. A.A Agyo, has recommended and expressed full support for Umar Yusuf, a Presidential aspirant in the association’s forthcoming elections, in a statement released on the 22nd of August.
In his words, "To all Nigerian students, our dear esteemed delegates, I present to you a leader whose footprints are worth emulation. For NANS Senate President, let the experience and competence of distinguished Comr. Umar Yusuf work for Nigerian students both at home and in the diaspora. 
Umar Yusuf has both executive and legislative experience in the NANS struggle. He has been tested and trusted in all capacities/positions held in the past as a student leader and advocate for student welfare, rights, and the protection of Nigerian students. He defends and always stands for the rights of the students' constituency.
A vote for Comr. Umar Yusuf is a vote for a better NANS legislative organ. When there is a working legislature, there must be a functioning executive. He knows the problems and has the solutions to fix them. There are still lingering problems in the student body, which has led to the leadership failure it has experienced over the years.
NANS must work again with Umar Yusuf as NANS Senate President.

The NANS 2022 convention is set to begin today and last for five days at the old parade ground, Area 10, Garki, Abuja.
