Former Kaduna Central Senator and Human Rights Activist, Shehu Sani has recently, addressed State Universities who are breaking away from ASUU due to the prolonged strike.
In his word,
"If a state university decides to breakaway from ASUU strike, someday they will be persecuted by their state governors and there will be no ASUU to champion their cause.
"Academics in state universities should be careful not to betray their unions and fall into the hands of governors who can turn against them anytime. They should remain united, negotiate and achieve a common goal”
Amongst others, Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, had since deviated from the Union and has fully resumed academic activities.
