OSUN'S NEW TOURISM GOLDMINE DISCOVERED IN IPETU IJESA — GOVERNMENT ATTENTION NEEDED!

A breathtaking natural treasure with the potential to transform Osun State's tourism sector has been brought to public attention in Ipetu Ijesa!

The newly publicised waterfall at Oke Idowu, Powerline Lane, along Oke Igolo, Ipetu Ijesa, Oriade South LCDA, is a magnificent natural attraction with enormous tourism potential.

During a site visit, Hon. Ajimati Oladeji Benedict, Executive Chairman of Oriade South LCDA, was accompanied by Chief Oluyole Ayoola (Babaloja of Ipetu Ijesa) and the hunters who discovered the waterfall, Abiona Moshood (Taritari) and Salawu Saheed.

According to the discoverers, the waterfall has been known to hunters for over 30 years but only recently attracted wider public attention after being shared on social media.

WHY THE OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT MUST ACT NOW

1. A NEW TOURISM DESTINATION

Ipetu Ijesa is already known for Olumirin Waterfalls. Developing this additional natural attraction could further strengthen Osun State's position as a leading tourism destination in Nigeria.

2. JOB CREATION FOR OUR YOUTHS

Its development could create employment opportunities for tour guides, transport operators, hospitality providers and local businesses across Oriade South.

3. DEVELOPMENT OF OUR HIDDEN NATURAL TREASURE

Without accessible roads, adequate safety measures, facilities and effective promotion, this beautiful natural attraction may remain hidden from the world.

OUR CALL TO ACTION

We commend Hon. Ajimati Oladeji Benedict for taking the initiative to visit the site and bring attention to its tourism potential.

We respectfully call on His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and the Osun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism to:

- Deploy an official assessment team to evaluate the waterfall and its tourism potential.

- Consider including the site in the Osun State Tourism Masterplan.

- Facilitate the construction of an access road to Oke Idowu.

- Support Oriade South LCDA in developing the site into a safe and sustainable tourist destination.

- Promote the attraction to visitors, investors and tourism stakeholders.

OSUN IS BLESSED WITH NATURAL WONDERS!

From Erin-Ijesa to Ipetu Ijesa, our land is blessed with remarkable natural attractions. What we need now is the commitment to identify, protect and develop these treasures for the benefit of our people.

LET US NOT ALLOW THIS NATURAL GOLDMINE TO REMAIN HIDDEN.

IPETU IJESA DESERVES TOURISM DEVELOPMENT. ORIADE SOUTH DESERVES ATTENTION. OSUN STATE DESERVES THE ECONOMIC BENEFITS.
