The incident that just happened between JAMB and the failed students is a sad and worst thing that should happen to JAMB. WAEC and JAMB think they are God with the pride they wear as clothes. Many higher institutions are also not supposed to be existing by now because they are killers of destiny, not builders.
An example of a mechanical engineering professor who can't fix his car by himself but will only call roadside mechanics who he calls stack illiterates to help him fix his car, how would the life of his students look like if they follow the steps of the professor after school?
Universities like University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, and University of Benin struggle with constant electricity on campus; University of Benin even shut down for weeks, and we call universities sources of wisdom?
When the faculty of agriculture can't monetize food scarcity to generate funds for the school but only makes ASUU protests, exploiting students with different types of fees sources of income, fees that shouldn't exist in a sane society. An example is what they term 'acceptance fee'. What's the concept of acceptance fee alongside pre-school registration and final-year clearance but to exploit students? This is theft.
Like I always say, school can be a scam, but education is not. Education will teach you that you don't risk your life in the name of anything, not even school. Students commit suicide whenever they fail because of the pressure.
The JAMB girl who recently killed herself for failing is indeed a failure, and that's because of school. Part of what she learned in school is failure and death.
The white people who introduced school don't go to school the way we Nigerians do, where everybody wants to become a lawyer or doctor. Theirs are football academies, art academies, and other specialized academies where they focus on your field of life you choose, this makes you avoid distractions.
No lecturer has the right to fail you. If they do, call us at All Campus Show, and we'll call for your script. If you candidly failed, the lecturer still has a case to make.
