In the 2025 edition of the Hon. Engr. Eseosa Iyawe Educational support program, the member representing the good people of Oredo federal constituency at the Nigerian House of Representatives has raised the bar by sponsoring the registration for the West African Education Council (WAEC) Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Joint Administration and Matriculation Board, (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of a total of 624 constituents/candidates across Oredo federal constituency.
It will be recalled that the people-centric federal lawmaker recently put out an advertorial calling on prospective students/candidates in his constituency to take advantage of the unique opportunity of educational sponsorship. It is pleasing to note that the accreditation, registration, and release of the funds for the program, which ran into Millions of Naira, have been successfully completed.
The educational support program of Hon. Engr. Eseosa Iyawe was conceived against the backdrop of the realities of the financial constraints of many indigent constituents whose educational pursuits are truncated due to paucity and unavailability of funds. As a leader concerned about the welfare of his constituents, who is in tune with this unfortunate state of things, has taken it upon himself to bridge this gap with this initiative that promises to get better and bigger.
As a lover of Education and an advocate for youth empowerment, Hon. Iyawe is irrevocably committed to this course. Recently, he donated a computer laboratory to New Era College, Benin City, fully equipped with 41 state-of-the-art computers and other accessories for the benefit of the students. This consistent action puts credence to the aforesaid.
In a chat with the press, the honorable member promised to sustain the program and admonished the beneficiaries to be focused and studious to pass the various examinations with flying colors, adding that this is all he demands from them.
The 2025 SSCE and UTME will be held before the end of the second quarter of this year.
