After Salami led tenure as UNIBEN Vice Chancellor, the UNIBEN community has chosen a new Vice Chancellor to drive the institution for another tenure.
Prof. Edoba Omoregie, has stepped in as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin (UNIBEN).
Edoba who is a Professor of Constitutional Law and Governance, is taking over from Prof. Lilian Salami whose tenure ends on Dec 1.
Prof. Shaibu Umaru, Chairman of the Governing Council of the University announced the appointment on Friday in Benin.
Umaru said Omoregie emerged the 11th Vice-Chancellor of the university out of the 27 that applied for the position.
Born on April 5, 1969, Prof. Omoregie is a native of Benin and attended the University of Benin for his first, second and third degrees.
He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1992 and conferred with the prestigious Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 2021.
One Comrade Osarobo in his remarks congratulating the newly appointed VC, in his words, he said
