Demanding Accountability and Transparency: A Call for Stronger Institutions in Nigeria.

As we gear up for the governorship election, it is crucial that we, as citizens of Nigeria, demand accountability and transparency from our institutions. In light of recent speculations surrounding the connections between key officials and political figures, it is essential that we focus on facts and push for the strengthening of our institutions to ensure a free and fair electoral process.

Weak institutions have long been a concern for Nigerians, and it is time for us to collectively call for change. We need the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to publicly reaffirm its commitment to conducting transparent elections, and the police force must assure us that they will maintain law and order without favoritism.

In a recent case in Kenya, a police officer was sentenced to six years in prison for misconduct, demonstrating the importance of holding law enforcement officials accountable for their actions. We must strive for a similar level of justice in Nigeria, where no individual is above the law.

Let us continue to demand better from our institutions and work together to build a stronger, more democratic Nigeria for all.
