Condemning Divisive Rhetoric and Political Manipulation: The Cases of Asari Dokubo, Wike, and Lucky Emonefe.

In recent times, Nigeria has witnessed a series of controversial statements and actions by political figures that have only served to deepen divisions and sow discord among the populace. In this piece, we will address three such cases: Asari Dokubo's dismissive remarks on the hunger protest, Governor Wike's stance on the usage of Eagles Square Abuja for protests, and the alleged impersonation of NANS President by Lucky Emonefe.

Firstly, Asari Dokubo's derogatory comments regarding the hunger protest betray a lack of empathy for the plight of Nigerians struggling with food insecurity. Rather than acknowledging the severity of the issue and advocating for solutions, Dokubo chose to trivialize the concerns of the protesters. This dismissive attitude only serves to further marginalize the voices of those affected by hunger and does nothing to address the root causes of the crisis.

In addition to Dokubo's comments, Wike's stance on the usage of Eagles Square Abuja for protests raises questions about his commitment to protecting the democratic rights of Nigerians. Protests are an essential form of political expression and a cornerstone of a functioning democracy. By limiting access to public spaces for peaceful demonstrations, Wike's position could be interpreted as an attempt to stifle dissent and suppress the legitimate concerns of the people.

Moreover, recent reports have emerged suggesting that Lucky Emonefe, who claims to be the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), may be impersonating Pedro Obi, the authentic president. These allegations are compounded by assertions that Emonefe is being used as a political tool by Seyi Tinubu, raising serious concerns about political manipulation and the integrity of student leadership.

In conclusion, the cases of Asari Dokubo, Wike, and Lucky Emonefe exemplify the divisive rhetoric and political maneuvering that continues to undermine the well-being of Nigerians. It is imperative that public figures be held accountable for their words and actions, as their influence can have profound effects on the lives of citizens. As a nation, we must strive for unity and cooperation in the face of challenges, rather than allowing divisive forces to drive us apart.
