The Father of Nigerian Students-FONS, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal, the President of One Love Foundation has pleaded to the Governor and the Deputy Governor in Edo State to stop the killings that is always happening in Edo state.
In his trending video this morning on his social media account, Dr. Eholor started by wishing the government officials happy New year by mentioning their names one after the other, which after he poured out his heartfelt over the killings in Edo state by the cultists.
In his statement he said " I wish Governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki and the Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu and also the President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu with all their executives happy New Year and also, I want to show my displeasures over insecurity in Edo state.
Lagos state is more than 20 million population, while Edo is below six million, with this low population in Edo State, it has become unsafe for the occupants.
Lagos with highest population celebrated New year peacefully unlike Edo State, we have been having unrest in Edo State, security wise.
"I would like to say this to those who cause this atrocity, I want you to know that killing human is inhumane, anyone who kills people is not part of my life and my future, if you do not have life, you can't take life.
"Although, before this madness all started, I advised the Edo State government that vigilante is good but if we want to do vigilante we must do it properly, you can't give guns to a mad man or rivalry court members, if you want to launch a proper Vigilante, there have to be a data base about them, check their crime and mental background, involve security agencies to run through them as well as psychiatric to test their mental ability.
"Unfortunately, we have guns on the street more than the food we eat, another big issue is bringing police officers from a far place like Abuja who doesn't know the terrain in Edo state.
"Let us also educate our people to say something if they see or hear something. The governor, Godwin Obaseki and the Deputy Philip Shaibu, please I plead and beg you to call the leaders of the cults to resolve their fight, during the time of our own brother, Solomon Ehigiator Arase, the former Inspector General of Police, he called the cult leaders and warned them that he will arrest them if they do not stop fighting which I think is a better way for a sane government to follow, we are not in Ukraine or Pakistan war, we should have peace at least."

And to the youths, Dr. Eholor said "What is not worth living for is not worth dieing for, let's stop the madness of killing, what life do we leave for a mother who carried her child for nine months?
