Father of Nigerian Students-FONS calls out Gov. Obaseki to pay his lecturers salary.

The Father of Nigerian Students-FONS, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal, the president of One Love Foundation and Senior Advocate of the Masses, fondly called by people.

Dr. Eholor has come to plead to the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki to respect the rule of law and the judiciary.

In a Court file documents given to our correspondence, the document shows the names of the Claimants and the defendants, which are Edo State Government and the top government officials related to the ministry and department that govern the College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi, Edo State.

In this document issued at Benin under the seal of the court and hand of presiding Jugde; Hon. Justice A.A Adewemimo, the declaration and order by the above named Judge says "That the closure of the 4th defendant, which is the school itself 'College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi' and lock out of the Claimants and other staff of the school since 8th of August, 2017, by the first and third defendants which are the 'Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Edo State and Edo State Government.'

The final part of the declaration in the number six out of eight stated that the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources and Edo State Government should reopen the College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi with immediate effect and release it's annual subvention for the purpose of resuming it's normal academic activities in accordance with the provisions of the extant law establishing the College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi.

Therefore, the number seven declared that the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Edo State Government are hereby restrained from victimizing any member of staff or any student of the school and or locking out the employees.

In a video going viral released by Dr. Eholor, his statements say "I want to appeal to my brother and my friend, SSG, who is a lawyer, if we are mute over injustice today, it means we are giving consent to those who are doing this in injustice, most of them might be myopic, they may not know what they are doing, we all are aware of what happened between the Governor of Edo State and the his deputy, Philip Shaibu, there are lots of things Shaibu as the deputy governor should have corrected when the governor was doing it, he felt that the governor was God and noone can talk to him which was wrong and that is when he has issue with his governor, a lot were mute, they could not fight for him.

"Therefore, when things are done wrongly, please speak out against it, if one thousand people are doing what is wrong, it doesn't make it right, otherwise, if one person is doing what is right and others are not doing it, it doesn't make it wrong.

"These people in this case did not commit crime, the only crime it seems they have committed is that they are teachers who lecture our children in College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi, Edo State.

"The judge, Hon. Justice A.A Adewemimo has pronounced that the government is owing them and must pay them their salary, I am pleading on their behalf and the entire people of Edo State, I know you will be having mediating meeting with them this Monday 16th of October, 2023.

Why are the lawyers mediating, why are they not paying them their salary? Some of them have died, sick, having issues in their families, some of them might not even get this money, I plead your conscience, please respect the court decision, Governor Godwin Obaseki, these are the people that are deserve to be paid first before the politicians, they have all the rights to earn a living, please. I will love to be there on Monday if there is no tight schedule for me." Dr. Eholor stated.
