Breaking: Palliatives: Father of Nigerian Students-FoNS tackles Edo Governor's 6am-7am free ride.

The Federal Government has approved a paltry N5 billion for each of the 36 states of the federation for procurement of food items and fertilisers as part of efforts to alleviate the suffering associated with fuel subsidy removal in the country.

According to Vanguardngr.com This was the highpoint of the resolutions of the monthly National Economic Council (NEC)

While many citizens lamented that there is no need for distribution of funds, the funds should be used for national development before it becomes opportunity to embezzle by some.

Referring to the year 2020 during the covid-19 pandemic, when the palliatives were given to states to ease hunger for their citizens, it is sad to detect and realized that many governors hoarded palliatives.

Therefore, the palliatives have been given again by the federal government in order to assist citizens in replacement of fuel subsidy that was removed, some Senior citizens and community's stakeholders have been announcing that everyone hold their governors accountable.

Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal, the Father of Nigerian Students-FONS and One Love Foundation President has come out to analyze what the Edo State Governor plans to give the Edo State citizens as palliatives.

On his social handle this morning, Eholor has tackled the shallow plan of Edo government, he shown his displeasures in the Governor's plan while he advised the Five Billion Naira should be used for renovation of roads and other infrastructures instead of the 'one hour free ride the Governor proposed.

In his statement, Eholor said "6am to 7am free bus ride is the palliative General Godwin Obaseki could offer to Edo citizens, meanwhile most of the ECTS Bus are without maintenance, Godwin Obaseki is just managing the few busses left and after this free ride the few busses will all go bad because we don’t have roads in Benin City!

"I am calling on Governor Godwin Obaseki to use the palliative money for road repairs, it is when the roads are good that we can have better transport services, currently Edo state have the most expensive transport ride, this is because the roads are bad, high cost of car repairs. As the local man will say “High Cost of Living wan k!ll the living”. Please Godwin Obaseki Edo people have suffered enough, repair our roads with this few month left." He concluded.
