Finally, LASUTH gets accreditation on advanced diploma in hospital administration, management.



Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) has received accreditation to commence an Advanced Diploma Certificate Course in Hospital Administration and Management.


According to LASUTH management, this accreditation not only reflects the hospital’s commitment to excellence in healthcare services but also speaks of its dedication to nurturing the next generation of healthcare administrators.



The one-year Diploma Certificate Course in Hospital Administration and Management is designed to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and effective administrative leadership in the healthcare sector.


It is also designed to equip participants with the right knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective leadership in a global environment.


This would include the development of conceptual skills in human resource management, healthcare financing, resource planning, hospital and healthcare management, research methodology and management of professional diversity in healthcare institutions.



According to LASUTH management, the programmme is open to a diverse range of individuals, including recent graduates seeking to specialise in healthcare management, current healthcare professionals aiming to enhance their administrative skills, and individuals from other fields who aspire to transition into the healthcare sector.


Participants would be professionally tutored by an assemblage of seasoned serving and retired public servants as well as experts from private sectors.


The Chief Medical Director, LASUTH, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, who announced the accreditation of the Diploma Certificate Course, said this initiative aligns perfectly with the hospital’s mission to not only deliver exceptional patient care, but also contribute to the overall improvement of the healthcare ecosystem.


” We believe that by imparting quality education in hospital administration, we can positively influence the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery,” he said.
