Global President of One Love Foundation and Human Right Activist, Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal has called out Former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole and other Ex-Governors for receiving retirement and pension benefits while in office of Senates.
"Why are you receiving pension and you are still a Senate? Are you going to be having double pension? Do you know what pension is?
According to Eholor Pension is the money paid to already retired worker from what he or she contributed while at the office. However, "CSOs are not living up to expectation including media", many of their rights are being denied.
"You didn't do anything Oshiomole. You claim you were for the people and from NLC. You rode on the back of the people to become who you are today. You needs money to finance your 'African China' Therefore, you must be receiving benefits on the detriment of the people" He said
He stated that none of the Ex-Governors deserves retirement plan because they are still serving as Senates.
Furthermore, Eholor said "if you don't monitor these political criminals in Senate and House of Reps, allow them appoint Judges or make decisions or law, you can never get justice because they feel they are above the law" In one of statements, he said "CSOs are now used as attack dogs by the same politicians and have left what they should be fight for on behalf of the suffering citizens."
Stressing more on this, he noted that the supposed Senates are not carrying out their political functions to the state. He observed that there are several cases of Kidnapping, banditry, unemployment among other vices in the country.
He therefore said government should change the narrative and have temporary legislature. Also that they should reduce their convoys.
Nevertheless, Eholor applauded the former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel and the Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki for rejecting retirement benefits from government who described it as an act of fraud. "Every activist should caution Governors to stop receiving any pension including the president."
However, he urged the youths to shun condoling lapses from political leaders especially those that have not been representing their interest.
