It is a new dawn in Nigeria government as the change of power occurred yesterday. The newly elected president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who in his speech talked about his agenda to remove subsidy by emphasizing on it that “Subsidy is gone” Immediately after this speech, the price of the fuel was increased to triple amount it was before.
Reacting to this, The global President of One Love Foundation, who double the Father of Nigerian Students-FONS, the person of Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal used his social media to condemn the act and misuse of the privilege the oil marketers took upon the state of the fuel increase, in his statement he said:
“New President was inaugurated yesterday, it is not normal to welcome the president by sabotaging, immediately after the swearing in of the newly elected president, the racketeers, the oil marketers started doing sabotage, whatever you do to sabotage whether the new administration or the old one, all is against Nigerians, we are all Nigerians and we are suffering, you cannot increase the price of the fuel to 600 Naira per a litre, what happens to the ordinary citizens, what happened to the drivers? ...to the market women, Students that are going to school, I should ask a question if we are normal in Nigeria, this should not be happening, I am from Edo State and I have never supported rather think along with Iyoha Osaigbovo, the Chief of staff of Obaseki led administration but he came out with a bold statement yesterday which I support, he said any filling station that are not selling fuel on the regulated prices should, should be shut down, their license, 'c of o' should be revoked, individuals should not be seen as powerful above the government, we are from Edo state, the heartbeat of the Nation, we must live for others to follow.”
“Furthermore, talking about my brother and friend, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, he has a numerous of gas stations and filling stations, otherwise I am so happy for him but he should lead by examples, by showing the petroleum is still sold for the normal price, there should be no reason for anyone to hike the price, it is wickedness and evil, market sellers, Students, workers cannot go out.”
“Therefore, we are tired of these, people should know they are not powerful than the government should be having power without sentiment to deal with anyone who is violating the law of the land should pay the penalty or be imprisoned.”
