The Economic Financial Crime Commissioning ( EFCC) Establishment Act was first enacted in 2002 and amended in 2004. The Act commissions the EFCC to combat economic and financial crimes, thereby enabling the Commission to prevent, investigate, prosecute and penalize economic and financial crimes which has lost his objective to corruption.
Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal, the General Observer.of.the Federation, the President of One Love Foundation and the Father of Nigerian Students-FONS who analyzed the corruption and the inactivity of the EFCC.
On the video which is already going viral on his personal Facebook account, Eholor reacted:
"The EFCC boss went to Hajj with his family spending $15,000daily for ten days, like about $300,000 and yet he is still there, someone who is appointed majorly to control financial spending and crimes is found wasting fund."
In an interview with All Campus Show, Eholor taught by reminding us about Abba Kyari Saga, who is in connection with HushPuppi, is he in Jail now? Also the current chairman of the EEFC, AbdulRasheed Bawa was traced for selling over 20 trucks worth thirty million naira each for N100,000, recently, this man was also found guilty by the court of law, I wondered who is covering up for them, I wondered what the President Muhammad Buhari was talking about that "if we do not kill corruption, corruption will kill us" Eholor also demanded for public apology of Bawa to Nigerians over Governor Bello Matawalle's allegations of demand for bribe. Recall that on Wednesday last week, Matawalle of Zamfara State had alleged that Bawa, who had accused him of corruption, had earlier begged him for a whopping 2 million dollars, which he refused. The outgoing Governor also alleged that the reason why he is being haunted by the EFCC boss is due to his refusal to play his corruption card. He was subsequently arrested and detained for several days in Port-Harcourt before Ibrahim Magu, ex head of the agency, ordered his transfer to the agency’s training school in Abuja pending conclusion of investigation.
"A man with such a shady report against his name just a few years ago cannot continue to head an anti-corrupt agency in any serious country", Eholor stated.
Moreover, let us still remember the case of Tafa Balogun, the IGP during Obasanjo tenure, who stole huge amount of money, though it takes a thief to catch a thief, then people we trust with power abuse the power.
In Saudi today at the Hajj, they know Bawa as the EFCC Boss, and this has downgraded Nigeria's standard, when have you heard FBI agent or boss Lodge in Hotel and spend lavishly, it cannot happen. If it were to be a better society, Mr. Bawa, the EFCC Chairman out to have resigned today and apologize to Nigeria for squandering our money, for conniving with some irrelevant Governors, Ex military men, conniving with people who are doing bunkery, putting this country in debt and poverty and yet nobody say anything, if you refuse to chase who steal our money, stop chasing Yahoo Boys, stop harassing and intimidating our common people, you are the greatest fraudster.
Furthermore, let us be reminded of the Ikoyi flat saga, millions of currency as well as billions of Nigeria money stored there, that belongs to one Government official thief while many that stole in the market were out to death. Buhari told us he will reveal the name of the person stole money kept in the Ikoyi flat but till today, the president refused to tell us, The president also told us he will publish the names of those that are corrupt but funningly, he did not, remember what you all are doing to us in this country, God is watching and vanity will come one day when you die.
