First Lady withdraws Case against Undergraduate.

 

 Aminu Mohammed, A final year Student of Federal University, Dutse, who was arrested for defamation has been released. 

Recall that On November 18, Aminu was arrested by the police at his Varsity, for a tweet he posted on June 8th in mockery of the First Lady , Mrs. Aisha Buhari. The tweet which was accompanied with the picture of the First Lady reads”Mama has eaten poor people's money, she is now full.”

 He was further Charged with Cybercrime, Cybersquatting, Computer Related Forgery, Conspiracy and Criminal breach of trust

The arrest stirred up several reactions across the Country, but after the intervention of Some Activists,Amnesty  International, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS ) and other well meaning Nigerians, The case was withdrawn on behalf of the First Lady by the prosecution counsel Fidelis Ogbogbe.
