1.University of Benin

UNIBEN, as it is colloquially known, is a federal government-owned institution in Edo state with the motto "Knowledge for Service." 2. University of Lagos

3. Uni llorin

Next on the list is the University of Ilorin(Uni Ilorin). It is a federal government university situated in Ilorin, Kwara State, with the motto:Probitas Doctrina, which means Better by Far.

This institution was founded in 1975 as a university college that was affiliated with the University of Ibadan.
 Currently, it is populated with over 500 academic staff and 50,000 students and is surely outstanding to be the most sought-after Nigerian university in the year 2021.


4) University of Ibadan 

Following UNILAG is the oldest university in Nigeria, which is the University of Ibadan.

UNIIBADAN was founded in 1948 in Oyo state with its motto: Recte sapere fons—"For knowledge and sound judgement, UNIBADAN is a federally controlled university with a population estimate of 41,743 students and also rich with staff and educators.


5 Nsuka University

Another highly populated institution that ends this list is the University of Nigeria Nsuka (UNN), which is located in Enugu, Nigeria. UNN was founded in 1955 but was formally opened on the 7th of October 1960.

Presently, the school is populated with an estimate of 36,000 students across its 3 campuses.
