Two KWASU students die.
Kwara State police spokesman, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, has confirmed the deaths of two students, Tobiloba Daniel and Arewa Abayomi, both of Kwara State University.
The two 200l students are suspected to be lovers and were found dead and naked by their friends in Daniel's hostel, room 3 days after missing an examination.
A report on the Daily Trust, said a KWASU student with an undisclosed name verified this information.
According to the report, "we suspected they were lovers and became concerned when they were not seen during an examination for three days."
Although the spokesperson for KWASU, Hajia Saeedat Aliyu, said there was no official communication on the matter, SP Okasanmi, while speaking on the issue, registered that the cause of death remains unknown until the autopsy result is out.
"The information is that the two of them were found dead inside their room and the police were alerted.
Our officer pulled down the door and they were taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) for autopsy.
"Investigation into the matter is still ongoing," he said.
