EDMA: Bringing the World to Edo: A Vision Bearing Fruit-Agazuma

We are delighted to remind all stakeholders of the bold declaration made during our visit to the European Union in March: “We will not merely be taking Edo to the world, but bringing the world to Edo.” That vision was born of our unwavering commitment to create safe, dignified opportunities for our people—and today, it is already bearing remarkable fruit.

By the grace of God, the Edo State Migration Agency has successfully engaged seventeen (17) embassies, which will convene at the EU Home in Abuja on May 29, 2025. This gathering of diplomatic missions underscores the confidence the international community places in Edo’s emerging role as a hub for responsible migration dialogue and cooperation.

Key highlights:

Diplomatic Engagement: Seventeen embassies confirmed—marking an unprecedented level of international collaboration.

Date & Venue: May 29, 2025, at the European Union Delegation premises (EU Home), Abuja.

Strategic Impact: These partnerships will enhance legal migration pathways, facilitate cultural exchange, and strengthen our fight against human trafficking.

This achievement reflects the passion and dedication of every member of the Edo State Migration Agency. Under our stewardship, we are steadfast in our mission to uphold human dignity, curb irregular migration, and bring lasting honor to our beloved Edo State.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, for finding me worthy of this pivotal role and for his unwavering support in bringing this vision to life.

Let us give thanks to God for guiding us to this milestone, and let us move forward together—united, hopeful, and ready to welcome the world into Edo.
