NANS Chairman hails Gov. Okpebholo’s historic increase in AAU’s monthly subvention



Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Edo State, Comrade Ojumoola Miracle Timileyin commends the State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo for his commitment to education, as evidenced by the recent increment in the monthly subvention to Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma from about N41 million to N500 million.


According to the NANS Chairman, "This historic increase is a welcome development, and we are grateful to our Governor, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo for his unwavering support for education in Edo State.”


“As a student of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma myself, I can attest to the fact that this increment will have a direct and positive impact on the entire university community."


The NANS Chairman further stated, "This increase in subvention will undoubtedly bolster the university's ability to provide quality education, enhance infrastructure development, and improve the overall learning experience for students. 


“We are confident that this development will have a ripple effect, leading to improved academic performance, increased research output, and a more conducive learning environment."


The students' leader praises Governor Okpebholo's administration for prioritizing education, particularly at a time when the country is grappling with economic challenges. 


"This increment is a testament to the Governor's commitment to the welfare of Edo State students and his vision for a brighter future for our state," the NANS Chairman emphasized.


NANS extends her support to the Okpebholo administration and urges the Governor to ensure the sustenance and effective implementation of this policy. 


"We are confident that with this development, AAU will continue to thrive as a centre of academic excellence, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact of this increment on the university community," the NANS Chairman concluded.
