Albarka Medicare and Maternity Services Centre has unveiled the second edition of her wonder free medical outreach.
The convener, Amb. Dr. Fatima Ahmad Abdullahi in her interaction with the Journalists today described how happy she always feel to see people scaping through health challenges.
In her statement, Dr. Abdullahi told the pressmen how she had been looking for opportunities like this to touch lives since she was a child "I started by having sympathy for my friends who were passing through health challenges, thinking that one day if I am privileged, that I will rescue many people's lives, thank God today, I found myself in the medical profession that warrant me to catering for people's well-being even for free, helping them to end their health crisis and making them stronger once again"
In addition, Abdullahi talked on how the free medical outreach project started last year, she said "This is the 2nd edition of the program and I embarked on this initiative because of my keen interest for humanity, I interface with different ethnicity, rural and urban on daily basis and I am aware of their plight towards health and financial constraints to access quality health services, so I deem it necessary to execute this project being an health expertise.
"This medical outreach is totally free of charges, nobody is spending out of their pockets because it's how it ought to be. This is a call for provision of quality health services for everyone irrespective of your political views, Because the APC Gubernatorial candidate Senator Monday Okphebholo aka Akpakomiza and his Deputy Hon. Dennis Idahosa's Blueprint aligns with my view for Better provision of Quality Health services, Quality Education, Safe Water, Security and safety, Infrastructure Development, Human Capital Development and Women Inclusivity in Politics, Leadership and Governance."
Focusing on girl child as part of the major objectives of the project.
According to Dr. Abdullahi, she told the Pressmen 'Pad the girl child' is an initiative of rendering teaching the girls on mestrual hygiene and rendering free sanitary products to the girls.
Abdullahi spoke more on the plans to execute through this free healthcare project.
"Partners are welcome to join hands and make this project more established in all our rural and urban areas."
The program is slated to commence on 17th &18th September, 2024 from 9am to 5pm daily at Imiegba Three Ibie, Etsako East LGA, Edo State.
The following shall be featured:
1. Free medical consultation on ailment and lifestyles adjustment.
2. Free General Counselling and Screening on GBV, Substance Abuse, Mental Health, ASRH and Career Guidance.
3. Free Vital signs Monitoring
4. Free Drugs and treatment
5. Free HTS and Other Laboratory tests
6. Free Deworming Services
7. Free supplies of Sanitary products
8. Free Pre,Ante and Postnatal care and consultation.
9. Referrals of cases
