The vibrant youth of Nigeria have articulated their demands with unwavering resolve, calling for a nation that nurtures growth, prosperity, and justice for all. Today, fellow Nigerians, ladies, and gentlemen, we must remember that the road to a better future often requires selflessness and sacrifice.
President Tinubu's administration has led our nation down a path of bondage, blaming past leaders while neglecting to acknowledge his role in shaping our current reality. We cannot forget that he, too, has participated in numerous protests throughout his political career, including his involvement in NADECO. The hypocrisy in attempting to stifle the voices of today's youth cannot be ignored.
As the One Love Foundation, we wholeheartedly support the peaceful protests sweeping across Nigeria, for they are long overdue. The youth are using their constitutional rights to demand change and to end the systemic issues that have plagued our nation for far too long. In doing so, they refuse to accept the deceitful narrative that calls for military intervention, knowing that the military is not a friend of democracy and that their regime has no place in our future.
We call upon every Nigerian to raise their voice and join the movement for change. Together, we can reject the corruption, manipulation, and insecurity that have held us captive. We must not be deterred by the Nigerian Labour Congress's ineffectiveness or the attempts of police forces to disrupt our peaceful protests. We are all in this fight together, striving for a better Nigeria for all citizens.
As we stand united, let us remember that a democratic society thrives when its people are empowered to make their voices heard. The power lies within each of us, and through peaceful protests, we can demand a Nigeria that values its people and guarantees their fundamental rights. The time for change is now, and the One Love Foundation stands with the youth in this noble fight for a better future.
